四、教学步骤
第一步:引入话题
课前播放加拿大国歌,由歌词中很多个Canada从而引入,提问:how much do know about Canada?在幻灯片上打出有关加拿大的选择题,地理位置,语言,主要城市,国家领导人和今年加拿大温哥华冬奥会等方面。这一步是在学生预习和查阅相关资料的基础上,采用组外竞争组内合作的方式,学生抢答,以小组为单位计分。目的在于激发学生对本单元话题的兴趣,活跃课堂气氛,引入本课主题。
第二步:导入reading 部分(7分钟)
把国旗标志放到最后,由于国旗有枫叶(maple leaf)通过提问激起学生旅游的欲望,自然导入Reading部分。(If a mountain is covered with red mapleleaves, do you want to go there to admire the scenery of it.)
第三步: Fast reading(8分钟)听课本录音,通过数字进一步了解Canada

第五步:Discussion & action (口语训练)(10分钟)
1、如果你是个导游,你要向顾客们介绍这次旅行,你得把路线和景点特色向顾客介绍清楚,并要想尽办法说服顾客跟你的团去旅游。你该怎么来介绍呢?分组讨论,5分钟的准备时间,然后各组派个代表来阐述,谁说服的顾客多,谁就是赢家。
2、把班级分成4个组讨论,然后派个代表把33页的地图画在黑板上,并在图中标出旅游路线来。在10分之内看哪个组画又快有准确,那个组就是赢家,奖品就是所有的组员免费加拿大旅游3天。
3、让学生把33页地图搬到教室里来,文中提到的地方名制作在卡片上,让学生分组讨论根据课文的路线旅行,每到一个地方就把卡片留下。并复述他们在这些地方的所见所闻。采取分组活动进行讨论、复述,检测学生是否真正理解了文章。
第六步:作业布置
1、复习课文,尤其是重难点。2、把课文读熟。
