（1）呈示部：主部主题：这响亮，震撼人心的音响，威严而有力的叩响了我们的心扉。贝多芬曾经说过：“那是命运在敲门。”它既像一种严厉的警告，又像一种惊慌不安的颤栗，暗示着悲剧性的命运降临在人们的面前。这一动机在呈示部主部主题中不断地发展，使那种惊惶不安的情绪逐步增长，几乎给人一种窒息的感觉。副部主题：旋律温柔，抒情，优美，抒发了贝多芬对幸福美好生活的憧憬，与第一主题形成鲜明的对比。（2）展开部：是主部主题与副部主题的进一步变化发展。它象征着命运的“风暴”卷土重来。并声嘶力竭地呼啸着，冲击着人们的生活。在这部分音乐中，调性很不稳定，好像人们与命运的搏斗在持续着，力量的对比在变化着。（3）再现部：基本上再现了呈示部的内容，音乐再一次显示出人民战胜黑暗的坚强意志和必胜信心，但通向胜利的路途还很遥远，还需要经过艰苦的斗争。
