老师们、同学们：爱国，必须做到认知、情感、意志和行为的统一，其中，爱国行为是归宿，是目的。做为教育工作者，必须使受教育者在爱国主义方面达到如下基本要求： 一、树立祖国利益高于一切，个人利益服从国家利益的思想观念。没有祖国的兴旺发达，就没有个人的出路。国破则家亡，国兴则家昌，天下兴亡，匹夫有责；我们应当正确处理国家与个人的关系，先天下之忧而忧，后天下之乐而乐，以民族利益、国家利益、集体利益为重，一事当前，做到想国家这所想，想集体之所想，先人后己。第二，要有民族自尊心、自信心。热爱祖国要坚信自己民族的自立能力，不要只看到目前我国与发达国家的差距，而无视自己祖国，近年来的巨大发展成绩，因而自暴自弃；也不要因为期望自己的祖国繁荣富强，而对达到这一目标需要几代人的艰苦努力缺乏思想准备，一味地抱怨和哀叹；更不要因为羡慕西方的物质生活，而拜倒在金钱之下，把理想、信念、人生价值统统抛到九霄云外，要在任何时候都维护祖国、民族的荣誉，不做有损祖国、民族和集体的事。

我可以问大家几个问题吗？你每天早上起来用什么洗脸呢？你妈妈每天做饭都需要用什么呢？而你每当口渴的时候喝的都是什么呢？答案可能是同一个：“水。” 是啊，水看上去是那样的普通，普通得让人不可缺少而又随时可以忘记。人们只是在渴了的时候想到喝水，而对于水的本身关心得很少，甚至从未关心过。水，是生命之源，是任何物质都不可替代的，是世界上最重要，最珍贵的资源。没有水就没有生命，人类无法生存，更谈不上什么文明和发展。至今为止仍然认为水资源是取之不尽，用之不竭的想法是愚蠢和有害的。实际上，淡水资源是非常有限的，虽然水占地球表面的70%，但是只有%的是淡水，而其中99%都被冻结在荒芜人烟的南北极，只有不到1%可以利用。当前，由于世界人口的剧增、人类的过度索取和浪费，以及工业污染等原因，世界淡水资源越来越匮乏，人类正面临着严重的水危机。
